The Procurement Management Unit (PMU) was established in line with the Public Procurement Act & Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 GN No. 446 of 2013 (as amended), and it is responsible for all procurement of goods, works, and services required by various departments and Units. The Unit is headed by the Head of the Procurement Management Unit and performs the following functions:-

Manages all procurement and disposal by tender activities of the Council except adjudication and the award of contract,

Supports the functioning of the NACTVET Tender Board and implement its decisions,

Plays the role of Secretariat to the NACTVET Tender Board,

Plans the procurement and disposal by tender activities of the Council,
-
Recommends procurement and disposal by tender procedures,
-
Checks and prepare statements of requirements of goods and services,
-
Prepares tendering documents and advertisements of tender opportunities,
-
Prepares contract documents and issue approved contract documents,
-
Maintains and archive records of the procurement and disposal process,
-
Maintains a list or register of all contracts awarded,
-
Prepares monthly procurement reports for the Tender Board,
-
Prepares and submit to the management meeting quarterly reports on the implementation of the Annual Procurement Plan (APP),
-
Coordinates the procurement and disposal activities of all the departments/Units of the Council.
