The Finance and Accounts Unit has the responsibility of facilitating proper financial management and operations of the Council. It is also responsible for advising the Executive Secretary on all matters pertaining to finance and accounts as well as assisting line departments to smoothly carry out their financial operations. Other responsibilities of the Unit includes; Controlling the implementation of annual budget; Ensuring compliance to the applicable statutes, regulations and international financial reporting standards; Maintaining fixed assets register and ensuring that all assets are adequately safeguarded and accurately recorded; and preparing and presenting financial statements and other periodic financial reports.
